New Year, New Plans
The
Christmas break is over and the whole community is back in business with loaded
batteries.
The
previous year was full of work and wonderful new possibilities. The most
important one was co-operation with Microsoft PIL-network as a Pathfinder
school. It was a huge boost for our daily work and projects. We got new
partners and new friends around the world who have brought a lot of new ideas
and practices to share with our staff and students. This page have been visited
from 14 different nationalities. Thank you all following us!
At the
moment we are working on our Entrepreneurship projects which are based on the
Kodu-games made in the club during autumn. 3rd and 4th
grades establish “companies” with business plans and marketing plans around the
games. We will have mentor companies from the real life to learn more. The
students from the 1st and 2nd grade work as subsidiaries
offering and producing side products for the "corporation". They are excited
about that!
Doing this
we are learning a lot of 21st century skills and preparing our students to
the future. It is also our contribution for the City of Oulu improving the
business life.
